What Data We Collect

When you register or use ManyApps, we collect the following information:

Your name and email address
Account credentials (password stored as a secure hash — never in plaintext)
Payment information processed by Stripe — we do not store card details directly
Usage data: which apps you use, call counts, and timestamps
IP addresses and browser/user-agent strings for security and spam detection
Aggregated analytics: operating system, browser version, domain, and navigation patterns
How you found us: the website that sent you here (its address without any search terms), the campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source), the first page you opened and when. We keep this with your account to learn which sources bring us customers

Cookies

Some cookies are strictly necessary and are always set. The sign-in cookie keeps you logged in to your account and expires after 30 minutes. It holds a session token, not your personal details. We also remember two preferences in cookies: your light or dark theme (one year) and your cookie choices (six months).

One cookie of our own remembers how you found us until you create an account: ma_ref holds the website that sent you here and the campaign tags in the link you followed, for your first visit and your latest one. It lasts 90 days and is deleted when you register, when the details move to your account. It is never shared, never used for advertising, and only counts which sources bring us customers.

Only if you agree, we also use:

Google Analytics (analytics): shows us which pages are visited, how visitors found us, and their type of device and browser. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_*, which last up to two years. Provided by Google Ireland Ltd.
Meta Pixel (marketing): measures how our ads on Facebook and Instagram perform and lets us show our ads to people who visited this site. It sets the cookie _fbp (three months), plus _fbc when you arrive from one of our ads. Provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.

These are never loaded before you agree, and never on the pages that confirm your email address or reset your password. Google and Meta may process this data in the United States; both are certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through , which is also at the bottom of every page and in your account settings.

Embedded Content

Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, support widgets). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if you had visited those websites directly. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, and embed additional third-party tracking. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

Deliver and maintain the ManyApps service
Send transactional emails (account confirmation, API key delivery, billing receipts)
Respond to support requests
Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Data Sharing

We share data with third parties only where strictly necessary:

Stripe — payment processing
Email provider — transactional email delivery
Google — website analytics, only with your consent (see Cookies)
Meta — advertising measurement, only with your consent (see Cookies)
Password reset emails include your IP address for security purposes

Information may be supplemented with data from third-party sources such as exam bodies or professional associations where required for service delivery.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active, and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal and administrative purposes. Usage logs and their metadata are retained indefinitely for moderation and abuse prevention, unless you request deletion.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
Right to rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data
Right to erasure — request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations)
Right to restriction — limit how we process your data
Right to portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

Two of these you can exercise yourself, immediately, from your account settings: Download my data gives you a structured, machine-readable copy of everything we hold, and Close my account removes your personal details and revokes your access. For anything else — or if you would rather we handled it — contact us at legal@manyapps.io.

Note that invoice records are retained for approximately seven years after an account is closed, as Dutch and EU tax law requires. Those records are kept for accounting purposes only and are not used for anything else.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including password hashing (bcrypt), encrypted connections (TLS), and API key storage as SHA-256 hashes. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. You accept inherent risks when transmitting data online.

Third-Party Links

Our service links to third-party websites (ManyChat, Stripe, external integrations). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent notice on our website.
